Description:

Join a leading SAP solutions team – focussing on providing independent advice across all aspects of EA Strategy. This is your opportunity to be involved with full lifecycle projects working with on some of the largest and highest profile SAP Strategy implementations in the market.

 

Role:

The primary focus of the role will be working on client projects. You will be expected to lead project activity staffed by Deloitte and/or the client.  As is the nature of project work you will be required to perform a wide range of activities, this could include though is not limited to:

 

?           Business case definition of approach and preparation

?           Supplier selection

?           Implementing Finance system’s standard processes

?           Coordination and documentation of internal processes

?           Requirements gathering/analysis workshops

?           Solution design

?           Set-up and coordination of user testing

?           Production configuration and hand-over

?           Development of finance process training material

?           Delivery of training to new and experienced users

?           Coordinating pre- and post-go live activities

?           Onsite go-live support

?           Systems improvements and extensions

The Enterprise Application Finance Practice assists clients in finance transformation underpinned by ERP technology.  These applications provide solutions in Financial Management and Human Resources Management. Our Services include assisting clients in assessing the software’s fit to their needs, configuring the application and implementing the software.

 

We are looking for people to work in multi disciplinary project teams that deliver exceptional value for clients realising benefit from their finance ERP solutions.

 

It is vital that the candidate is happy with the concept of using their experience to date to help on projects where they may not have experience of the specific ERP technology being implemented.

Successful candidates will be expected to have experience (typically involving SAP or Oracle applications) in one or more of the following:

?         IT Strategy

?         IT Technical Architecture

?         IT Application Architecture

?         Strategic sourcing

?         Business requirements & systems analysis

?         System selection

?         Testing strategy, planning and execution

?         Programme quality assurance/management skills

 

For the Senior Consultant/Consultant grade the role will focus on the management and delivery of client projects, as well as internal sales and practice development activity. In your management and delivery role you will:

?         Support the project manager

?         Assist in setting the engagement objectives and scope

?         Manage workstreams, deliverables and components of large, complex engagements

?         Manage strong professional relationships with engagement-specific clients

?         Assist in the creation and maintenance of project control documentation

?         Monitor the progress of more junior team members and provide constructive feedback where necessary

 

For the Senior Consultant/Consultant grade in your sales and practice development role you will:

?         Contribute to the development of new and sell-on sales opportunities by assisting in the creation of Deloitte propositions and thought-leadership

?         Assist in the assembly of sales pursuits

?         Assist in co-ordinating an area of EA Strategy practice development (e.g. Training, Marketing, Communications or Recruitment)

?         Develop personal contact network across service area and within the overall firm

Ideally a good graduate degree or equivalent is required combined with relevant industry and consulting experience in one or more of the following sectors:

?         Financial Services

?         Public Sector

?         Telecommunications, Media and Technology

?         Consumer Products and Retail

?         Energy and Utilities

 

All candidates must have full travel mobility as frequent travel is required, possibly outside of the UK. The right to live and work in the UK is mandatory.
