The Operations Excellence practice focuses on the full life cycle of operations transformation: from Target Operating Model design through to Operations Transformation delivery and implementation.
Working closely alongside the Directors and Partners, you’ll have two unique opportunities. The first is to make a difference by really influencing and shaping the strategic development of our team. The second is to learn from the best in our business.
You’ll be a subject matter expert leading multiple, high-profile projects and bids, whilst developing innovative thought leadership. You’ll recruit the best people, coach and support them whilst driving activity such as proposition development and marketing.
This role involves:
Bank wide or function specific business strategy definition and operating model design.
General process performance (efficiency, error / waste elimination, re-engineering etc.
Technology transformation support — business process and organisation re-design around a large systems migration.
Understanding and anticipating client needs based on a strong understanding of retail financial services and their associated processes.
Guiding teams in selecting and applying the most appropriate tools, techniques and approaches to deliver client work.
Playing an active role in identifying and pursuing sales and business development opportunities.
Developing long-term client relationships to further enhance the Deloitte footprint.
To qualify you must possess:
Relevant experience within major banks or consulting firms directly involved in delivering operating model design from business strategy and process improvement.
In depth knowledge and understanding of the UK retail banking industry and market.
Knowledge and understanding of technical retail banking products with a particular focus on retail banking operations.
Proven experience of leading successful teams and managing large engagements on time and within budget.
Capability of operating with senior level executives and adept at stakeholder management.
