We’re the only fully established M&A strategy group within Deloitte, combining the skill set of strategy consulting with the dynamic growth market of M&A/Private Equity. We’re growing fast with plans to set up commercial due diligence teams regionally & in continental Europe.  This means that there are multiple promotional routes in both the UK and Europe.

You’ll benefit from being part of a growing tightly knit team with a boutique culture backed up by the resources of a big 4 firm. This stems from us being formed by the entire team of Burlington Consultants, so you’ll work closely with senior management on a daily basis thereby enhancing your leadership skills & sector knowledge.

At the intersection of Strategy Consulting & M&A

We’ve close relationships with all of the Private Equity Firms working across industry sectors. Its not surprising that you’ll take ownership of resources & deliverables of pan European projects which have good deal flow and high volumes of transactions on the buy & sell side. This means you’ll transition from doing pure delivery to having influence on client development and sales activity.

Just as important, you’ll develop your breadth & depth of experience not only in CDD work but also in other M&A services. In addition you can leverage expertise from other areas of the firm such as financial due diligence, tax, risk & corporate advisory.  That’s why you’ll broaden your network thus multiplying your career options.

The role involves:
  • Preparation, management and delivery of assignments: managers typically have day-to-day responsibility for managing whole assignments or major modules of very large assignments. This includes liaison with clients and other parties, leading the approach and thinking of the team, and directing key individuals within the team
  • Involvement in business development and marketing activities to initiate and maintain contact with target companies
  • Coaching and support of junior team members
To qualify, you must possess:
  • Strong academics, graduate degree or equivalent experience
  • Ideally MBA qualified or equivalent experience
  • Previous work experience at a top consultancy practice or strategy house
  • Proven ability and confidence to develop clients and sell work
  • The ability to write, structure and present client ready work
  • Multiple case team management experience
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong commercial acumen/market awareness
  • Leadership potential
  • A second European language would be advantageous
  • Full travel mobility
