Join Deloitte’s Private Client Services practice for a genuinely varied role.  Your clients will range from entrepreneurs and property developers to directors of large companies and shareholders in private companies.  Your work will include a mixture of tax compliance and planning work covering capital gains tax, inheritance tax and income tax, with the opportunity to be involved with offshore trust and transaction projects.

As an Assistant Manager you will:
 
  • Manage a client portfolio of high net worth individuals, entrepreneurs and professional partnerships;
  • Ensure the delivery of all compliance work to the clients, including reviewing tax computations and returns;
  • Manage client profitability
  • Maintain and develop client relationships, identifying opportunities for new work;
  • Business develop:  involvement in marketing programmes, developing internal contacts, identifying and meeting prospective clients;
  • Be responsible for tax planning and advisory work;
  • Delegate work to and supervising less experienced staff;
  • Staff training;
  • Conducting appraisals.
To qualify, you will have:
 
  • CTA or equivalent qualification or experience
  • Strong technical skills in relation to UK personal, partnership and trust/estate taxation;
  • Tax planning skills;
  • Client-facing experience within the private client arena; 
  • Ability to maintain strong client relationships and win/develop new ones;
  • Excellent inter-personal skills, including the ability to prepare proposals and deliver client presentations;
  • A high level of self-motivation and a “can-do” attitude.
