Key Responsibilities: • Act as a main contact for commodity traders regarding the utilisation of facilities and to ensure a high level of service is delivered at all times • Manage a significant portfolio of facilities protecting the bank’s exposure to risk through the constant monitoring of credit facilities and valuation of collateral • Show credit risks in a timely manner by reacting to facility excesses and collateral shortfalls • Be jointly responsible for good relationships with the bank’s customers and intermediaries/counter-parties by maintaining and building client relationships and ensuring good utilisation of the facility
Key Requirements: • The ideal candidate should be a team player, and have the ability to make decisions, influence others and be self-reliant • Have an in-depth understanding of commodities facilities on both an operational and commercial basis (this should include facility types, limit structures, nature of security required, tenor provisions etc.) • Strong experience in a commodity based environment, with an excellent understanding and working knowledge of the principles of commodities/trade finance collateral • In addition, an understanding of treasury products such as money market loans, spot and forward foreign exchange transactions, commodity futures and derivative products
