Large Investment Bank is looking to add a Senior Risk Officer who will be responsible for performing risk analysis and due diligence on selected financial institution clients, mainly the major broker dealers and universal banks, fund managers and regulated funds.

Large Investment Bank is looking to add a Senior Risk Officer that will be responsible for performing risk analysis and due diligence on selected financial institution clients, mainly the major broker dealers and universal banks, fund managers and regulated funds. Exposures to these institutions will arise from a broad range of activities: commercial lending, securities trading and financing, FX and derivative transactions, underwritten capital markets transactions, and cash management services. The candidate will also be responsible for approving and monitoring all risk exposures incurred by any of the firm's legal entity with all members of a client group (e.g. parent and subsidiary relationships). This person will need to establish and maintain close relationships and communications with a diverse set of business partners, as well as other relevant parties (e.g. legal, compliance, operations, etc.).

The successful candidate will have at least ten years of experience in risk analysis and underwriting for financial institution clients, preferably with a major financial institution. B.A. degree required; M.B.A. or C.F.A. is preferred along with previous management experience as this person will be responsible for leading a small team. This person must be a strong communicator and display effective financial analysis research and writing skills. Candidate must be experienced using electronic spreadsheets, word-processing, and database software and capable of using LAN-based PC software to produce all reports and prepare templates for credit analysis, portfolio analysis and databases. The ideal candidate should have thorough familiarity with BSA compliance, including KYC, Patriot Act and OFAC issues.
